The 1990 reunion was celebrated in a somewhat somber mood as Alexandre Delaurier was at St. Boniface Hospital in a very critical condition having had his two legs partially amputated. Of course beside him was his wife Cécile (née Bouchard) and several of their children. Prayers at both the church and at supper were sent his way hoping that he would recover to be with us a bit longer. Alexandre Delaurier died on August 14, 1990 in St. Boniface Hospital. He was buried in Laurier on August 17, 1990 alongside the others of his generation.
